Only a little over a month ago we received an impressive letter from U.S. News - Best Lawyers advising that Ted Cahill, Melissa Hamble, Angela Kirk, Matt Richardson, and Justin Ritch were awarded Best Lawyer 2021 recognition. At MDK, people are at the heart of everything we do. We value our attorneys and their contributions to MDK’s success. It makes us even more proud to learn that their efforts were recognized by a high number of independent peers. Throughout many weeks and months of uncertainty and change, the professionalism and integrity of our attorneys provided inspiration to everyone at the firm.

We would like to take a moment to thank U.S. News & World Report, our peers and colleagues who participated in the review process, and of course our attorneys and staff for making these victories a reality.

2020 was unforgettable in that it challenged us in a way that no other year in MDK’s almost 20-year history has. Within a matter of weeks, MDK transitioned staff to remote work and introduced security and compliance protocols that allowed us to maintain the highest quality of customer experience and employee engagement.

We met new challenges with new technological solutions. With an eye toward applying technologies that improve efficiency, we continued our dialogue with existing and potential clients to see how MDK can further improve their processes. As a result, during the first weeks of the pandemic, our technology company created and deployed a new application that provides a secure, compliant, and transparent method for MDK and its clients to use our workflow engine for managing defaulted segments.

Additional technology solutions and strong communication with our clients allowed us to expand our service offerings even during the unprecedented time of the COVID-19 pandemic, social unrest, and an economic crisis. MDK’s Orlando office, established in 2016, is now accepting residential foreclosure referrals as our clients expressed a need for our services in Florida. In the world of timeshare, we represent our clients in Florida, Hawaii, California, and South Carolina. Expansion was made possible by MDK’s unwavering commitment to providing above-the-bar service.

As we reflect upon the accomplishments of 2020, we want to extend our most heartfelt gratitude to our clients who continue to engage MDK as their preferred business partner and, of course, to the wonderful employees of MDK whose resilience, dedication, and professionalism brought MDK its U.S. Best Law Firms 2021 designation.
