Gail Hersh, Jr. combines his broad background in both law and title to deliver results-driven solutions for MDK's clients. His practice focuses on helping clients resolve complex legal issues that would otherwise hinder transactions.

At the helm of our Kentucky Practice Group stands Gail Hersh Jr., a seasoned professional with a passion for law and a profound understanding of the intricacies of Kentucky's legal system. As Practice Group Director, Gail provides exceptional support to members of the Kentucky cohort. With a strong focus on ensuring compliance with legal requirements and suggesting process improvements, Gail plays a key role in optimizing our services for clients. Keeping a vigilant eye on changes in statutory and case law, Gail interprets laws, rulings, regulations, and other legal sources to keep our team informed and up-to-date.  

By actively fostering a positive learning environment, Gail encourages attorneys to perform at their highest levels, promoting open communication, teamwork, and accountability. With a deep understanding of our firm's culture and outlook, Gail ensures that Team MDK has the necessary tools and guidance to thrive as successful contributors and supporters of our mission at MDK.

Gail has practiced in the areas of real estate litigation, residential and commercial transactions and foreclosures, creditors’ rights, and bankruptcy for over 25 years. Relying on this depth and breadth of experience, Gail recognizes the range potential pitfalls in various real estate transactions and the best ways to avoid them.  He has also been a proponent of electronic document execution and remote notarization and has the company positioned to offer that enhanced customer experience. For his contributions to the field of law, Gail has been awarded Best Lawyers in America designation in the area of real estate law.

Gail is admitted to practice before the state courts of Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Pennsylvania and Ohio, as well as the United States District Courts for Kentucky, Indiana and the Southern District of Ohio. He is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association and is past Chair of the Ohio Land Title Association’s Government Affairs Committee. He is also a past Chair of the Cincinnati Bar Association’s Real Estate Committee, having spent 6 years in leadership roles on the Committee. Gail is a title agent in Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan, New Jersey, New York and South Carolina. He belongs to the Ohio Land Title Association.

Gail is a frequent seminar presenter on various real estate topics for young lawyers, general practitioners and more specialized groups of attorneys and real estate professionals. Gail obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Kenyon College and his law degree from the University of Cincinnati, College of Law.
