On November 24, 2021 the Supreme Court of Florida issued opinion No. SC21-1543, consistent with the recommendations of a Court-appointed assessment committee, and adopted the committee’s recommendation that a sixth appellate district should be created in Florida. Additionally, the Court adjusted the existing boundaries of the First, Second, and Fifth District to be submitted for approval by the Florida Legislature.
